Joining the P&C committee is a great way to be a part of the school community. See below for frequently asked questions about membership, or get in touch if your question isn’t answered here.

Frequently asked questions

  • Join the P&C and make a meaningful impact on our school community! As a member, you'll play a key role in supporting fundraising events and initiatives that foster a positive, vibrant culture at our school.

As a member you're always welcome to attend our general meetings, where you'll hear updates from the school Principal, School Council, and the P&C executive committee. Plus, once you're a member, you'll have a voice in shaping decisions by voting on important matters discussed at the meetings.

We also invite you to show your support by volunteering at P&C-led events — your involvement helps make a real difference. Our aim is to create a thriving community for everyone.

  • Any parent, carer or guardian of a current BPPS student is welcome to join the P&C.

  • You must pay a membership fee to become a financial member of the P&C. This gives you the right to vote or move a motion at general meetings.

The annual membership fee is $1, which can be paid anytime on Flexischools. For instructions on how to make a payment, visit the Flexischools ordering page.

  • The member register is updated at the close of each general meeting. Once this register is updated, you are considered a P&C member.

If you pay your membership fee between general meetings (e.g. on Flexischools), you will only be recognised as a financial member at the close of the next general meeting when the register is updated.

  • Your P&C membership lasts until the close of the Annual General Meeting, which is typically the last P&C meeting in week 9 of term 4.

  • Only financial members of the P&C are eligible to vote.

A new member who pays their membership fee at a general or annual general meeting is not eligible to vote at that meeting due to the member register only being updated at meeting close.

Once the register is updated, they are considered a P&C member for voting purposes at the next P&C meeting.

  • Any financial member of the P&C is eligible to be nominated for an executive position, should a vacancy be available.

Visit the committee roles page to see if there are any current vacancies.
